Thanos Polymeneas-Liontiris
Thanos Polymeneas-Liontiris PhD is a composer, performer and sound artist. His practice comprises computer-aided compositions, interactive audiovisual installations and interactive music for dance, theatre and multimedia performances.
He obtained a BA in Double Bass, and a BA in Electronic Music and Composition from Rotterdam Conservatoire, while following courses at the Institute of Sonology (Royal Conservatoire of The Hague) and at IRCAM. In addition, he has obtained two MA degrees both with distinction, one in Art and Technology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the other in Creative Education from Falmouth University. Since 2012 he is a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His scientific publications encompass subjects related to Pedagogy, Technology and Aesthetics.
Between 2011 and 2014 he worked as Technical Instructor of the Recording and Sound Studios of the Department of Performance at Falmouth University. Between 2014-18 he was a fully funded CHASE-AHRC PhD researcher at University of Sussex where he also worked as Associate Tutor. In 2017 he was appointed Lecturer of Digital Music and Sound Arts at the University of Brighton. Currently he is associate researcher at University of Sussex.
Upon completing a PhD in electroacoustic composition Orestis has been active in composing new music and lecturing in the academia. Currently a scholar at the University of Athens and a visiting fellow at Bournemouth University, he has produced a diverse body of sound-art and new media work which is frequently performed in concert venues and urban spaces. Dimitri Vassilakis is an internationally acclaimed Greek saxophonist, vocalist, composer and educator.
He has recorded 5 award-winning albums for historic jazz label Candid Records.
Awarded album of the year from the BBC for his album "Daedalud Project-Labyrinth". This album has become the subject of study at universities in the USA such as Yale, Monmouth, and Columbia.
Has played all around the globe, notably in New York at Dizzy’ s Club Coca Cola Jazz at The Lincoln Center, Birdland, Yale, Natural History Museum Washington DC for the Smithsonian Institute, Jazz Showcase Chicago, Onassis Cultural Centre New York, London Jazz Festival Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, South Africa and Asia Tours and major festivals in Europe and the Balkans.
Has taught and presented seminars at Yale, Queens, Skidmore, Columbia, DePaul, Georgia Tech, Royal Academy Of Music, Paris Conservatoire, Singularity University, Athens Kapodistrian, Aristotle and Macedonia Universities.
He presented his concept “Jazz Democracy” as a global forum/performance at the United Nations New York Arpil 30th 2018 to celebrate International Jazz Day.

Antonis Ladopoulos is a Jazz Saxophonist, Composer and Educator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from William Paterson University of NJ, a Master’s degree in Jazz from Eastern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics. For the past 25 years, he has been extensively performing, recording and teaching.
He has been the recipient of an Exceptional Performance award at the 1991 Notre Dame Jazz Festival. Some of his collaborations include internationally renowned artists such as Arild Andersen, Markus Stockhausen, Carla Cook, Kysia Bostic, Deborah Davis, Maria Markesini and others.
Antonis Ladopoulos is the founder of Muse.gr music institute, representing for years the contemporary perspective of music education in Greece and the director of Muse Festival.
From 2008 to 2011, he taught at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki. In September of 2012, he was awarded by Eastern Illinois University Graduate School the title of International Alumni Ambassador. This is an academic honor of achievement to international graduate alumni.
Antonis is currently Jazz Faculty with the Graduate Program at the University of Athens and the American College of Greece. He is also an active freelancing musician, composer and educator.
